Walter Kuenzi

Walter Kuenzi, 96, resident of The Village of St. Edward (Green, OH), formerly of Gibsonia, PA, died August 23, 2022.  He was the beloved husband of Kathryn for 76 years; loving father of W. Wayne (Jenny), Keith Lee (Patricia); grandfather of Lisa Dirling, Travis James, and Jeremy Keith (Bethany) Kuenzi; great-grandfather of Luke Phillip and Clara Elizabeth; uncle to many loved nieces and nephews.

Walter was a mechanical engineering graduate of Penn Sate University, worked for Koppers Company in many capacities during his 41- year career.  His assignments included Canada, Chile, and the Philippines.  He was also active in the U.S. Naval Reserve for 30 years, serving in World War II and the Korean War, and retired with the rank of Commander.  He enjoyed spending time with his family but also found time to spend with his golfing friends.

At Walter’s request, cremation has taken place and there will be no calling hours or memorial service.  As remembrances, friends may choose to donate to the Wounded Warrior Foundation.
