It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Phyllis Jean Redman on September 15th after a courageous battle with cancer. Phyllis was born in Akron, Ohio to Paul and Edith Suter. She was preceded in death by her husband Richard and brother Wilfred. She leaves behind her son Randy, daughter-in-law Regina, granddaughters Catherine (husband Robert), Rebecca, great granddaughter Eleanor and brother-in-law Edwin as well as many nieces and nephews. She graduated from South High School in Akron and worked many secretarial jobs, starting with Firestone and finally retiring from the Summit County Court of Common Pleas. She also sold Avon and was in their President’s Club. Phyllis enjoyed lunch with her school classmates, watching the Cleveland Indians, Cavaliers and Browns and took pride in her geraniums. We want to extend a special thank-you to the many nurses, doctors and staff at the Barberton Hospital and at the Chapel Hill Community. Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 19, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. at House of Eberhardt Funeral Home, 472 W Turkeyfoot Lake Rd. (Rt. 619) Portage Lakes. Family and friends will be received on Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman, Ohio.
