Frances L DeLuca

It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Frances Lucille DeLuca (Logsdon).  Fran was a lifelong resident of the Akron area, the mother to 7 children, grandmother of 21 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.  Fran was married to Lawrence J. Logsdon Sr, also of Akron, from 1957 until 1993 and remained close to him until his passing in April of 2015.  For the first 20 years of her married life, Fran was a homemaker at the family home in Coventry Township.  In the late 1970’s, Fran started a professional career with the Akron Public Schools working with special needs students.  In the early 1990’s, Fran began a second career working as the Activities Coordinator for the Sisters of Charity retirement home Mount Augustine retiring from that position in 2010.  Fran was a lifelong Catholic and along with her husband and children, a long-time member of Saint Francis De Sales Parish.  Fran will be remembered in the hearts of her family and friends for her love of music and dancing, her fidelity to anyone in need and the energy and enthusiasm she devoted to her family and friends.  The Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Frances at Saint Francis De Sales Parish at 10am on Saturday, May 9, 2020.  This Mass and the graveside service that follows will be private and limited to immediate family members only.  This is only due to the current circumstances and we welcome all others to join the mass in spirit via the video link that will be provided here later this week.  The family is grateful for the prayers, calls, comments, etc. they have received regarding Frances’s passing and we are heartened by the love and joy they reflect.  God Bless you all and God Bless Frances now and forever, Amen.
