Yvonne Geiger Obituary

Yvonne D. Geiger, 81, passed away May 18, 2018.  She was born in Akron, Ohio and was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in downtown Akron.

Yvonne was very dedicated to her family and very selfless. She always had a love for all animals  and was a passionate artist and a talented seamstress.  For many years she worked side by side with her husband at Geiger’s Cabinet Shop, buying and selling houses and became an accomplished kitchen designer.

Mrs. Geiger is preceded in death by husband, Richard H. and by brother, John Miller and sister, Irene Dague.  She is survived by children, Patty (Scott) Blake, Darrell Gabriel, Brian (close friend, Rosemary) Geiger, Jason Geiger and, grandchildren, Scott Blake, Josh Blake, Meghan Shepard, Samantha Snell, Richard Geiger, Nathan Geiger and Madison Geiger and nine great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Friday at 11 am at Zion Lutheran Church, 139 S. High Street in Akron followed by burial at Greenlawn Memorial Park.  Family and friends will be received Thursday 7 to 9 p.m. at House of Eberhardt Funeral Home, 472 W. Turkeyfoot Lk Rd. (Rt. 619) Portage Lakes and Friday 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the church.
